about

We (Rob and Wendy) started dancing together in the early 1960’s. Rob was the non dancer and Wendy was the teacher at the school that Rob chose to go to – Gray’s School of Dancing in Clapham Junction (IDMA. ISTD).

Rob really took to dancing and also to Wendy. Within two years Rob was by now teaching and was also engaged to be married to Wendy.

This continued for two more years and then we got married. Within one year we had our first child (a son) and dancing took a back seat. We then increased our family to our

second son and pursued our full time occupations.

Our son’s grew up and left home. In between this time we were not involved in dancing.
It was only when our boy’s left home we realized how quiet our life could become. So, after 25 years we decided to go dancing again. We went to the Wimbledon School of Dance run by Mr Richard Bracher.

Richard was a man of very senior years and within three weeks we were both asked if we could assist him with his private lessons. We helped Richard for three years and finally ran the dance school until Richard passed away.

It was at this time we decided to form our own dance club in September 1998.

Dancing at that time was probably at its lowest ebb and found many times wondering whether to continue due to lack of interest. So many dancing venues were closing down. We showed determination and got through those quiet times.

Then along came “Strictly Come Dancing” and “WOW” dancing took off again.

For the past 11 years we have managed to run a successful dancing club. It truly is a friendly social night out.

No course fees to pay just turn up Monday’s and/or Friday’s at 8:00pm.

"Rob and Wendy are super dancers who delight in passing on their skills to other dancers. Specializing in Ballroom and Latin, they are
unfailingly encouraging to beginners or experienced dancers.
Rob and Wendy will readily help you to progress whatever your level and ambitions with your dancing.

My partner and I have combined their friendly classes with private
lessons. With Rob and Wendy's patience we have managed to gain that measure of confidence that is essential to experiencing pleasure
on the dance floor.

Classes are both fun as well as instructive. Rob and Wendy demonstrate basic steps or variations so that both partners can see what is necessary to execute moves properly.
There is plenty of chance to practice, receive individual help and to go over aspects that have been
learned before.

Rob and Wendy's classes always have a supportive, welcoming atmosphere as well as being interesting challenge. Why stay at home when there is such a great opportunity to be active, involved and meeting friendly people?"
