second son and pursued our full time occupations.
Our son’s grew up and left home. In between this time we were not involved in dancing.
It was only when our boy’s left home we realized how quiet our life could become. So, after 25 years we decided to go dancing again. We went to the Wimbledon School of Dance run by Mr Richard Bracher.
Richard was a man of very senior years and within three weeks we were both asked if we could assist him with his private lessons. We helped Richard for three years and finally ran the dance school until Richard passed away.
It was at this time we decided to form our own dance club in September 1998.
Dancing at that time was probably at its lowest ebb and found many times wondering whether to continue due to lack of interest. So many dancing venues were closing down. We showed determination and got through those quiet times.
Then along came “Strictly Come Dancing” and “WOW” dancing took off again.
For the past 11 years we have managed to run a successful dancing club. It truly is a friendly social night out.
No course fees to pay just turn up Monday’s and/or Friday’s at 8:00pm. |
